Medical Dermatology

Our skin reveals so much about what we do and how we do it.  Looking at the skin, it is possible for the dermatologist to know what you wear, what hobbies you may have, how often you adhere to sun safe practices, how well you care for your skin, and even how well your other organ systems are functioning.  It is a window that allows so much to be interpreted.  Beyond acne, rashes, hair loss, and skin cancer checks – there are several autoimmune dysfunctions that contribute to a variety of skin conditions.  Dermatologists treat patients of all ages, and should the occasion arise, we will partner with our colleagues in allergy, rheumatology, pediatric subspecialists, etc to help care for more complicated conditions.
